Community physical infrastructure (2006-2009)

The scheme aims to serve multi-purpose objectives in the targeted areas like physical assets building and building the farm productivity. The program emphasizes to improve the health and hygiene conditions in the area. In the year 2009, 31 CPI schemes were completed. One of the most important aspects of the program was to engage community to project cost, about 20

  • Safe drinking water and sanitation facilities for women and girls
  • Converting water supply schemes into alternative energy sources like micro-hydro projects etc.
  • Promoting renewable energy supply sources like solar, wind or water to enhance women’s access to cheap energy for domestic, social and economic consumption
  • Developing link roads that enhance women’s access from farms to markets
